Freedom Starts Here

Standing up for religious rights and openness across Greece.

Our Mission

The Greeks are not free. They are subject to a foreign presence call Orthodox Christianity which monopolizes the Hellenic Republic according to its constitution. Support freedom in Greece.

Ας κανουμε την σημαια της Μακεδονιας την νεα σημαια της Ελλαδας

Το αστέρι της Βεργίνας είναι το σύμβολο της Ελλάδας και όχι ο σταυρός του χριστιανισμού.

Article 3, para. 1 of the Greek Constitution stipulates:

The prevailing religion in Greece is that of the Eastern Orthodox Church of Christ. The Orthodox Church of Greece, acknowledging our Lord Jesus Christ as its head, is inseparably united in doctrine with the Great Church of Christ in Constantinople and with every other Church of Christ of the same doctrine, observing unwaveringly, as they do, the holy apostolic and synodal canons and sacred traditions.

As long as this exists in the Constitution of Greece or the Hellenic Republic there will never be true freedom of religion in Greece.

WE WANT A NEW CONSTITUTION THAT COMPLETELY SEPARATES ALL RELIGIONS FROM THE STATE.

Greece is the only European Union (EU) country to ban proselytism in its constitution, and the only EU country to have been condemned by the European Court of Human Rights for a lack of religious freedom. This group aims to make Greece welcoming to all Greeks regardless of their religious or non-religious preferences.. We want a complete separation between religion and state.

Orthodox Christianity must not monopolize Greece. The great ancient Greeks were polytheistic and there are 600,000 Greek Muslims in Turkey. The constitution and the flag of Greece must be changed. The constitution currently states that the prevailing religion of Greece is Christian Orthodoxy and the flag of Greece has a white cross that represents Christianity. I strongly believe that the sun of Vergina should be the new flag of Greece for the following reasons:

Hellenes have been giving there lives for their cities and countries for thousands of years and Hellenes have used a plethora of symbols. The Spartans used the lambda for Laconia on their shields. The ancient Macedonians seemed to have used the star or sun of Vergina. It was the Macedonians that created the Hellenistic age where Greek thought and Greek ideas spread to there greatest extent. The greatest Greek achievement of all time was the library at Alexandria and it couldn’t have been done without the Macedonians.. By the way, it was a Christian Bishop Cyril who supported the destruction of the library. That is why it is anathema to have a cross on the flag of Greece. The Christian Bishop Cyril later became a saint.

The 1922 population exchanges between Greece and Turkey were done by religion and NOT by language or ethnicity. True freedom of religion will erase the differences between the Turks and the Greeks. In other words, the conflict can be summed up as territorial Orthodox Christians versus territorial Muslims. There are today 600.000 Greek speaking Muslims in Turkey.

Please support the separation between religion and state in Greece and also to change the flag of Greece.
